Bernard was born October 29, 1987 in Minot, ND to Lilly Thomas and Kim Ellis. He grew up and was educated in Sherwood, ND. Throughout his youth and adulthood, Bernard enjoyed basketball, football and was known to enjoy a little rap music.

He moved to Minot after high school where he worked in various industries in Minot and the surrounding area that included construction, auto body and agriculture.

Bernard was united in marriage to Rae Sahr. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Jaylyn and Jerzie. He loved them with his whole heart and will forever be with them in their hearts.

His surviving family includes his children, Jaylyn and Jerzie Thomas and their mother, Rae Thomas; parents, Lilly and Stanley Peltier, Antler, ND; brothers, Raymond Thomas, Minot, Jessie (Sam) Peltier, Sioux Falls, SD and Waylon Thomas, Torrington, WY and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bernard was preceded in death by his grandparents, Linus and Clara Thomas, aunts, Joyce Bachmeier and Corrien Thomas and cousin, Keith Bachmeier.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016 at Bethel Free Lutheran Church, Minot, ND
Visitation: Sunday, June 5, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred.
