Benedicta Boamah, 19, Minot and formerly of Ghana, died Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Minot from complications of a seizure.
Benedicta was born July 16, 2001 in Kumasi, Ghana to Bernard Boamah and Yaa Abrafi. She spent her early childhood in Ghana, where she had dreams of becoming a nurse or doctor so that she could give the shots instead of receiving them. She came to the United States in 2018 and joined her father in Minot, ND. She was currently a student of the Minot Public Schools, where she was active in music and dance.
Benedicta was a free spirit. She had an infectious smile that lit the room and always made a person's day better in her presence. She was blessed with a funny spirit and loved to share jokes with family and friends. Everyone loved Benedicta. She will be missed by all who were blessed to share in her life.
Benedicta's loving family includes her father Bernard (Sarah Kithusi) Boamah, Minot; sisters Nhyira of Minot and Josephine Agyeiwaa Boamah and Ellen, both of Ghana; brothers Raul Boamah, Minot and Benito Boamah, Hamburg, Germany; paternal grandparents Mary and Joseph Boamah, Kate Anane (aunt), Kwaku Tabri Agyemang (great uncle), Ghana and maternal grandmother Abena Serwaa, Ghana.
Benedicta was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Yaw Suman.
