Barbara R. Nutter, 93, Minot died peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 in a Minot hospital with her family at her side.

Barbara Ruth "Bobbie" Becker was born on August 5, 1927 in Fond du Lac, WI to Reverend Dr. John and Ottilia (Graf) Becker. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1945 and graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA in 1949. Bobbie was employed as a social worker in Waverly, IA, and Denver, CO. Later, she became a Civilian Instructor in Personnel for the U.S. Air Force at Scott Air Force Base, IL.

Bobbie was united in marriage to O. Richard Nutter on June 9, 1951 in Fond du Lac. Following his discharge from the Air Force, they moved to Milwaukee, WI while Dick attended Marquette University School of Dentistry. Following his graduation, the family lived in Rugby, ND for two years before moving to Minot in 1959, where he was a dentist in private practice for forty years. Bobbie and Dick resided in the Green Valley neighborhood of Minot until her passing. For over fifty years, they also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at their cabin on Lake Metigoshe.

Bobbie was an active member of First Lutheran Church and participated in various community organizations throughout her life. She was especially proud of her involvement in the establishment and administration of the Minot Swim Club. She was a past president of the North Dakota Dental Auxiliary, and represented the state as the North Dakota Delegate to the National Dental Auxiliary. Bobbie and Dick enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but their greatest joy was always their children and grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Roland (Helen), Gertrude (Henry Herman), George (Mary), Norman (Mildred), Harold (Anne), and Arnold.

Bobbie is survived by her four children, Anne Swenson (Steven) of Billings, MT; Elizabeth Greer (Murray) of Minot; Thomas (Elyse) of Sarasota, FL; and Nancy Peck (David) of Bellevue, NE; grandchildren Jason (Nadine), Jonathan (Whitney), Jeffrey, and Joseph (Kate) Swenson; Patrick (Tressa), Laura Robinson (William), and Stephanie Greer; Timothy, Matthew, and Kristen Nutter; and Alexander, Charles, and Hannah Peck; great grandchildren Kyla, Ada, and Ria Swenson; and Natalie and Mia Greer, sisters-in-law Marilyn Becker and Catharine Nutter, special cousin and life-long friend Helen Rizzi, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
