Obituary

(Barbara) Sue Hall, 70, Minot died Tuesday March 16, 2021 surrounded by her loving family in her daughter's Glenburn home.

Sue was born November 13, 1950 in Hopkinsville, KY. She was raised by her mother Florence Adkins Cannon in the early part of her youth in Hopkinsville. During the latter part of her youth she moved to San Diego with her sister Kathryn.

Sue came to North Dakota upon completion of Job Corps with a friend. Sue ended up getting lost in the North Dakota countryside, driving her truck Bronson, when she ended up meeting (Knute) Oliver Hall Sr.

Sue was united in marriage with (Knute) Oliver Hall Sr. On June 12, 1971 in Minot. (Knute) Oliver Hall Sr. and Sue made their home in rural Carpio; where they farmed raising cattle, small grains, and various smaller animals.

(Knute) Oliver Hall Sr. and Sue had five children they began raising together until the time of (Knute) Oliver Hall Sr. passed on March 8, 1984. Sue and the children moved to Minot in 1985. Sue had another child in 1988. She and the children continued living in the Minot area until 1994. At which time they moved to the Granville area. While in rural Granville, Sue raised goats and other small farm animals until 2004 when Sue returned to the Minot area.

Sue loved her livestock, the freedom of the farm life, gardening, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as putting puzzles together in her free time. Sue was deeply devoted to her faith.

Sue is survived by three daughters: Karoline (Jason) Vaagen of Surrey, Clara (Jeff) Thompson of Glenburn, Crysta Hall of Grand Forks, and son-in-law James Evenson, Towner. Sue is also survived by her sister Kathleen Bloom, San Diego, CA and brother Robert Cannon, Cadiz, Kentucky, nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband (Knute) Oliver Hall Sr., sons Knute Hall Jr. and Clarence Hall, daughter Kathy (Hall) Evenson and grandson Julian Lehman.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,2025 9th St. NW Minot on March 27th at 11 am.
