Barbara E. Ambrosio Brown , born September 9, 1951, in Callicoon, New York, passed away on July 26, 2025, with loved ones by her side.

Barb was a dedicated wife and mother; she will be missed every day and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She was very adventurous, living everywhere from New York, Florida, Alaska, North Dakota, and Alabama, where she will be laid to rest. She will always be remembered for her huge heart and love for all the animals in this world. Wanting to help them when she could, she worked at an animal clinic in Alaska as a veterinarian tech before she retired.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Meinhard and Bertha Hirte: brothers, Don Hirte and Ronald Hirte; and her late husband, Richard Ambrosio.

She is survived by her loving husband, Arnold Brown; daughter, Letitia Brown; and son, Aris Ambrosio.

Visitation for Mrs. Brown will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel and her funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Bobby Rodgers officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, Alabama.
