Avinash 'Avi' Buksh, 50, Minot formerly of New York, died Aug. 14 in a Minot hospital.

Avinash was born March 4, 1965 in India, the youngest of his family to parents, Lewis and Salieena Qurban Buksh. As an adolescent he was known for his witty, humorous, caring and loving nature. He was fun to have around and much loved by his family, friends and relatives.

He was raised and educated in India, where he earned a Master's Degree in Automobile and Aeronautic Engineering.

Avi came to the United States in 2009 with a goal to provide the best for his family and accomplish the American Dream. He lived first in New York, working as a manager at a Super 8 and Days Inn Hotel, where he honed his business skills. Following his work ethic and natural abilities he moved to Minot, where he owned and operated "Taste of India" and "Ritz Beauty Spa" at Dakota Square Mall.

Avi was a compassionate, strong willed and hard-working man. He lived his life with dignity and honor. He was a great provider, husband, father, brother and friend. Avi always had big plans, lofty aspirations and insuperable resilience. He was a talented writer and singer too.

Avi was a man after God's own heart. Avi loved his Savior Jesus Christ. Avi's knowledge of the Scriptures and his passion for sharing the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ was evident in the life he lived and many of the youtube videos he shared online defending his Biblical World View.

We find great comfort in the knowledge that Avi is in the presence of God now and for all Eternity; and that we will be reunited with him there. I Corinithians 2:9 says, "This is what the Scriptures mean when they say, 'NO EYE HAS SEEN, NOR EAR HAS HEARD, AND NO MIND HAS IMAGINED WHAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.'"

Avi will be missed by all, but will continue to live in our hearts and everyday thoughts. May Almighty God grant peace and comfort to his family, friends and to all who loved him.

Avi's loving family includes, Bharathi A. Buksh, Asma Dharamsey, Alisha Buksh, Khalifa Al-Taiyimi, Shreya Buksh, Ridha Dharamsey, Alina Dharamsey, Ludvica Buksh, Aftab Shah, Arun Aftab, Urooj Aftab and many friends including, Yusuf Shami, Mumtaz Rao, Amjad Shafath, Hussain Sam.

Avinash was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Trinity Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Thursday in the church.
