Arnold R. Seney , 75, Minot, died Monday, September 15, 2008 in a Minot Hospital.

Arnold was born January 22, 1933 at Minot, North Dakota, the son of Ira and Blondina (Holmes) Seney. During his younger years, he was raised on the family farm south of Minot in Newman Township, and moved with his family to Minot, where he graduated from Minot High School in 1951.

Arnold began working for George Leininger at his Standard Station in Minot. Arnold was united in marriage to Marilyn Newman on June 27, 1954 at Minot. They made their home in Minot, where he began employment with Bridgeman Creameries. He was employed for over thirty-three years with the company, making ice cream and deliveries.

Arnold had recently served as the music director at Spiritual Life Church. He enjoyed doing yard work, visiting with people, playing his guitar, and was very supportive of family activities and helping out those in need.

Arnold's loving family includes: Wife of fifty-four years, Marilyn; Children: Darwin (Mary) Seney, Burlington, ND, Cindy (Mike) Linnertz, Tucson, AZ, Merilee Blackman, Surrey, Samantha Seney, Surrey; Grandchildren: Shawn (Amanda) Duke, Derick & Daren Seney, Merilee & Suzie Linnertz, Ian Weston & Mackenzie Seney; Benjamin and Joshua Blackman; Great-Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Samuel, Summer, and Nathanael; Brothers: Myron (Doris) Seney, Minot, Roy Seney, Minot; Sisters: Alice Newman, Minot and Eldora Brothen, Minot ; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Shelly Lane, sister: Ilora Pochant and brother: Vernon Seney.

Funeral service : Friday, September 19, 2008 at 2:00pm in First Assembly of God Church, Minot.
Interment : Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation : Thursday from 2:00-7:00p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot
