Ardella Notbohm , 97, Minot, formerly of Mohall and Drake, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Ardella was born November 14, 1915 on the family farm near Balfour, North Dakota, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Schimmel) Nehrenberg. She was raised on the family farm and graduated from Balfour High School in 1934.

Ardella was united in marriage to Carl Notbohm on July 8th, 1936 at Balfour. They made their home on a farm in the Drake/Ballfour area, where they raised small grains and cattle. They moved into Drake in 1955, where they owned and operated Carl's Red Owl grocery store for several years. They retired and moved to Mohall. Carl died in 1997. Ardella later moved to Minot.

While living in Drake they were members of the Drake United Methodist Church,then transferred their membership to Mohall when they moved there. While living in Minot, Ardella attended Our Redeemers Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Hospitality was a real gift for Carl and Ardella, as they enjoyed entertaining people in their home throughout the years.

Her loving family includes, sons, Ron (Rochelle) Notbohm, Bothell, WA, Vern (DeeAnn) Notbohm, Minot and Chuck (Mary) Notbohm, Miles City, MT; grandchildren; Rodell Notbohm, Ryan (Rebecca) Notbohm, Nick (Amy) Notbohm, LyNelle (Trent) Sherven, Chad (Janelle) Notbohm, Brady (Amy) Notbohm, and Rachel ( Brian) Welsh, great grandchildren; Kelsey Hladik, Juli Hladik, Cordelia Notbohm, Ivy Notbohm, Rayanne Notbohm, Rokiah Notbohm, Emma Notbohm, Lydia Notbohm, Isaac Sherven, Ella Sherven, Alivia Sherven, Jace Notbohm, Natalie Notbohm, Brynn Notbohm, Paige Notbohm, Blake Notbohm, and Levi Welsh.

Ardella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a niece, Linda Wilson whom she raised as her daughter.

Celebration of Life service: Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Our Redeemers Church, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot, ND
