Annette Thom, 69, Minot, died on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in a Minot hospital.

Annette was born on July 27, 1943 in Heber City, Utah to Matt and Verda (Wright) Leahy. She was reared and educated in Heber City and graduated from Wasatch High School in 1961. Annette was united in holy marriage to Gail Thomas Freeman. This union was blessed with two children, Todd and Gail. They resided in Heber City. Gail died in a car accident in 1973.

On February 22, 1975, she married John Thom in Tempe, Arizona. They made their home in Arizona while John was employed in the construction industry. They returned to John's hometown of Langdon, ND in 1975. Their family was blessed with another son, Chris in 1978.

They moved to Minot in 1983 and Annette began employment at Target. She made the move to Trinity Hospital in 1991 working in the communications department until retiring from the hospital as the Admitting Supervisor in March 2011.

Annette was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church - Minot. Family was her legacy. Her passion to be a loving wife, the best mother to her children and simply 'nana' to her grandchildren will be forever remembered. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her.

Annette's loving family includes her husband, John; Minot; children, Gail (Michael) Raasakka, Stanley, ND and Chris Thom, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Heather (Michael) Franca, Andrew and Mackenzie Raasakka and Owen Thom; great granddaughter, Scarlett Raasakka; sisters, Elva Wright, Verdawn Nelson, Pat (Jim) Duke and Johnnie Clyde, all of Heber City, Utah; sister-in-law, Charlene Leahy, Elco, Nevada and numerous nieces and nephews.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gail Thomas Freeman, son, Todd Freeman and brother, Bill Leahy.

CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE OF ANNETTE THOM: Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in Bread of Life Lutheran Church for Augustana Lutheran Church, Minot, ND
INTERMENT: Rosehill Memorial Park - Minot.
VISITATION: Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
MEMORIALS: In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
