She attended Minot State College from May 1936 through September 1938. Shortly thereafter, she went to Minneapolis, where she attended art school. Anne gained employment at the Minot Air Force Base in civil service. She worked in base supply and was promoted to Chief of Training. Anne was respected by the base personnel for her personal dedication and unwavering determination. She leaned on her work experience with the FBI to handle the many situations that came up and her interactions with others during her years at the base. Anne retired from civil service in 1977. After retiring, she returned to Minot State College, where she completed her degree in Criminal Justice graduating with a 4.0 GPA.

Anne was a longtime member of Vincent Methodist Church, in Minot. She loved gardening, often enjoying the fruits of her labor by eating apples on a daily basis from her trees or winning many ribbons for many years at the ND State Fair when entering her flowers and vegetables.
