Anna Solheim, 96, Minot, formerly of the Heimdal area, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 in a Minot Nursing Home.

Anna was born August 23, 1912 near Heimdal, ND where she grew up and attended Heimdal Public Schoool.

As a young woman, she worked at the Fessenden Drug Store prior to meeting her future husband. On December 8, 1939, Anna married T. A. "Ted" Solheim at the Foss home near Heimdal.

They made their home in Minot throughout the years, where Ted served as President of American Bank and Trust. The spent numerous winters in Arizona and enjoyed their summers at their cabin on Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau, ND, where they hosted her nieces and nephews for fishing, swimming, and boating. Ted died April 11, 2009.

Anna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a women's circle group. She enjoyed entertaining friends and relatives, and was a great seamstress and enjoyed craft work.

Her family includes several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Josie Georgeson, Bernice Lindgren, and Selma Johnson, and a brother, Oscar Foss.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 1:30 p.m.at Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
