Obituary

Anna Leona (Huber) Indergaard, 86, West Fargo, formerly of Minot, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 in a West Fargo Hospice Care Center.

Anna was born July 25, 1929 at Dickinson, North Dakota the daughter of Gottfried and Emelia (Frank) Huber. She was raised in the Dodge area and educated at Halliday schools. She graduated from St. Alexius School of Nursing, Sisters of the Order of St Benedictine in Bismarck. She was employed for a short time at St. Alexius Hospital in Bismarck before transferring to the Riverdale Hospital.

Anna was united in marriage to Merland O. "Mert" Indergaard on October 9, 1949 at St Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Dodge. They made their home at Riverdale, where Mert was employed with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers doing work on the Garrison Dam. Anna worked at the hospital and post office there before they were transferred to the Minot Air Force Base in 1959. Along with raising their three children, Anna also worked as a nurse in the Obstetrics unit of St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot for several years. Mert died June 6, 2010. Anna remained in Minot until October of 2014, when she moved to Fargo to be nearer her daughter.

Anna was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church, Minot. Throughout the years, she was active with the Women of the Moose, VFW Auxiliary, AARP, Son's of Norway, NARFE and Germans from Russia Society. She enjoyed gardening and dancing.

Anna's loving family includes , Lyle (Papo) Indergaard, Valdosta, GA, Dale (Louisa Peluso) Indergaard, Cumming, GA, Coreen (Perry) Kozlowski, Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Anna Marie Kozlowski, Andrew Jay Kozlowski, John Allen Indergaard and Jill Katherine Indergaard; brother, Hilmer (Carol) Huber, Stillwater, MN; several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years, Mert, infant son, David, brothers, Walter, Albert, Richard and twin, Ervin, along with sisters, Ida and Freida.

Funeral service: Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in First Lutheran Church Chapel, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Visitation: Tuesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in First Lutheran Church Chapel, Minot.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials are preferred to Kind-er Care Center - 2235 Shiloh St. West Fargo, ND 58078.
