Alyssa M. Dugas Dahly , 29, Burlington formerly of Louisiana, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in a Minot hospital.

Alyssa was born October 8, 1988 in Houma, Louisiana to James Dugas Jr. and Terry Casbon.  She grew up in Moss Bluff, LA and was a 2007 graduate of Sam Houston High School.

Alyssa was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Cody Dahly in Las Vegas, NV on December 5, 2014. They moved from home in 2011 and settled in Burlington, ND. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Graycelynn June, in 2017.

Alyssa was employed at Menards of Minot serving in various roles during her past seven years with the home improvement company. She spent her time away from work as a volunteer for the Souris Valley Animal Shelter and as a beautiful mother, treasuring every moment spent with Graycelynn.

Alyssa enjoyed scrapbooking and had a soft spot for any animal in need. She was a member of the ASPCA and was especially fond of Orca whales. Alyssa will be missed by all who shared in her precious life.

Alyssa is survived by her husband, Cody Dahly, Burlington, ND; daughter, Graycelynn June Dahly; father, James Dugas Jr., Dayton, TX; mother, Terry Casbon; twin brother, James Dugas III, Burlington; brother, Joshua Blum, TX; grandfather, James Dugas, Sr., Houma, LA along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Alyssa was preceded in death by her grandmother, Grace Dugas and brother, William Blum.

A service will be held in Lake Charles, LA at a date to be determined.
