Alvin "Butch" Carow, 68, of Burlington, ND died peacefully Friday, July 12, 2019 at his residence with family at his side.

Butch Carow was born January 20, 1951 in Jamestown, ND the son of Alvin Carow Sr. and Carroll Iverson. He was raised in Edgeley, ND and attended high school there. Later he attended mechanics school at Lake Region Junior College in Devils Lake, ND. Prior to meeting the love of his life, Gale, he had 3 children Kirk, Jenny and Jessica. On July 9, 1994, Butch married Gale Vetter in Minot and together they had two daughters, Mikki and Melissa. The family continued to make Burlington, ND their home where Butch operated Carow Trucking. If he wasn't helping friends, cracking a joke or tinkering in the garage you could find him relaxing at the lake.

He is survived by his wife, Gale, of Burlington, ND, son, Kirk (Kelly) Carow, of Fargo, ND, daughters; Jenny Carow, of Moorhead, MN, Jessica (Bo Schmidt) Carow, of Minot, ND, Mikki (Vern) Patterson, Minot, ND, Melissa (Kyle Parisien) Carow, Minot, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Carroll.

Visitation: Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot from 5 PM until 7 PM.
