Alvin Albert Bonnet, 72, Minot and formerly of Clearbrook, Minnesota, died on Thursday, September 27, 2007, in a Minot hospital.

Alvin was born on July 28, 1935 on the family farm in Profits Township near McClusky, North Dakota to Albert and Helen (Dockter) Bonnet. He was reared on the family farm and attended Holmes Township Consolidated School. As a young adult he assisted with the operation of the family farm and was employed by Mahar Construction of Forman, ND.

Alvin married Cozette Colby in October of 1959 in Forman. They made their home in Forman from 1958 until 1965 where he was employed by the International Harvester implement dealership. The family moved to Fessenden where he was employed at the Jerry Hegenmeister farm, the International Harvester dealership, as well as a local elevator. From this union four children were born. Alvin and Cozette divorced in 1971.

Alvin married Marilyn Lindom on December 30, 1975 in Clearbrook, MN, where they made their home. He was employed by Jacobson Construction for many years until ill health forced his retirement in the late 1980\'s.

Declining health forced Alvin to become a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook. Marilyn died in October of 1993. He later moved to Trinity Homes of Minot in May of 2003 where he since resided.

Alvin especially enjoyed time with friends and family.

Survivors include his: mother Helen Bonnet of Turtle Lake ND; children: Darcey (Dennis) Sharp of North Pole AK, Denice (Paul) Suess of Williston ND, and Captain Shane (Teejae) Wehunt of McGuire Air Force Base, NJ; son-in-law: Greg Just of Minot; stepchildren: Gary (Marge) Lindom of Orlando, FL, Patty (Leroy) Ostby of St. Hilaire, MN, Dan (Linda) Lindom of Clearbrook MN and Eric (Shirley) Lindom of Albuquerque, NM; nine grandchildren: Danae Rice, Daysha Sharp, Dakota Sharp, Amanda Suess, Paul Suess, Laura Wehunt, Dylan Wehunt, Kensleigh Wehunt, Ryan Ostby, Kevin Ostby, Jackson Lindom, and Molly Lindom; two great grandchildren: Alexiah Sharp and Gidean Rice; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alvin was preceded in death by his father; wife, Marilyn Bonnet; daughter, Darla Just; and brother, Harley Bonnet.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Homes Chapel, Minot.
Graveside Service: Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in McClusky Cemetery, McClusky, ND.
Visitation: Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Homes Foundation or the Clearbrook Good Samaritan Center.
