Alouise "Cookie" Kunnanz, 83, Minot, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, in an East Grand Forks nursing home.

Alouise was raised in Karlsruhe, ND by Anton and Regina Richter along with her brother Robert. She graduated from Karlshrue High School in 1961 and married Ernest Kunnanz that same year. Upon the birth of her son Ty in 1962, they moved and made their home in Minot, ND and welcomed a baby girl Robin in 1964. She was a homemaker and loved camping, fishing, gardening, canning, cooking, and drinking beer. She was an animal lover and always had a little pup in tow.

Alouise was proceeded in death by her parents Anton and Regina Richter, husband Ernest, and nephews Robert and Steven.

Alouise is survived by her children, brother, grand children, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rosary Prayer Service: Monday, July 20, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
Mass of Christian Burial: Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Leo The Great Roman Catholic Church, Minot.
Burial will take place at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
