Alma Lillegard, 99, Minot and formerly of Lansford and Landa died on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in a Minot healthcare center.

Alma was born on November 26, 1907 in Edsvold Township of Bottineau County near Landa, ND to Thomas and Olene (Aune) Vinje. She was raised on the family farm and attended rural schools in that area. Alma married Harold Lillegard on June 1, 1933 in Rolette, ND. They made their home on the Vinje family farm and Alma was a homemaker and teacher. The family moved to Landa in 1937 and to Lansford in 1948 prior to settling in Minot in 1954. They had resided at 504 19th St. N.W. for many years. Harold died January 28, 2002.

Alma is survived by her children: Robert (Irene) Lillegard and Joyce Lillegard both of Minot, Ron (Pat) Lillegard of Webster, WI and Joanne (Ken) Fletcher of Thief River Falls, MN; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandchildren: Kenneth, Valerie and Wade, great grandson: Brandon a brother and three sisters.

Funeral: Monday, November 12, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Chapel - Minot.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens - Minot.
Visitation: Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home - Minot.
Memorials: are preferred to the Salvation Army or to the Toys for Tots program.
