Obituary

Allyn Botz, 77, Minot, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018, in a Minot hospital.

Allyn was born March 3, 1940, in Minot, North Dakota to Ernest and Ida (Swiss) Botz. He was raised in Minot and graduated from Minot High School. He completed his education at Minot State University.

Allyn worked his professional life in Grand Forks, ND prior to gaining employment in Minot as an auto parts salesman at Asplund Toyota for a number of years. Allyn was a caregiver to his aging parents.

Allyn's health forced him to become a resident of Trinity Homes in 2003.

Some of Allyn's interests included race cars, motorcycles, photography and coin collecting. He was a talented woodworker, who made many models of planes and various items reflecting his various interests. Allyn was a member of the Dakota Air Museum in Minot. He made violins, a gateway to his love for music. He will be missed by all who were blessed to share in his many talents.

Allyn is survived by his brother-in-law, Hunter Nohrenberg of Herman, Nebraska, companion of fifteen years, Sheila Clark, Minot along with the numerous residents and staff of Trinity Homes in Minot.

Allyn was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Nohrenberg.

At Allyn's request, no formal services will be held.
Memorials are preferred to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) in Minot.
