Obituary

Allen Parker , 90, Minot, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in a Minot nursing home.

Allen was born on August 15, 1916, to John and Mary Jane (Allen) Parker, in Georgia. He was raised in New Bern, North Carolina. He served in the United States Army from June 8, 1942 to November 3, 1945, as a chef at bases in Alaska, Aleutian Islands, and California. Allen married Pauline Lynch on September 9, 1947, in San Jose, California.

Over the years, Allen and Pauline owned and operated numerous restaurants in California and Arizona. Retired, they resided in Camp Verde, Arizona for many years before moving to Minot in 2001 to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren.

Allen is survived by his wife of 59 years: Pauline, daughter: Kathlyn (Skip) Miller, Minot; granddaughter: Heather Jean (Kevin) Larson, Crosby, ND; grandson: Christopher (Heather Ann) Lee, Minot; great-granddaughters: Tessa, Harley, and Josie Larson and Zosia Lee; great-grandsons: Gage Dixon, Jaden Lee, and Alex Luster; sister-in-law: Ione Webb, Pierre, SD, and Irene Carel, Prescott Valley, Arizona; brother-in-law: Frank Lynch, Youngston, CA.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Anna Lee Cook; sister-in-law: Ellen Schunneman; brothers-in-law: Everett and Paul Lynch and Robert Webb.

At the request of the family there will be no reviewal or visitation.

Graveside services will take place at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot later in the spring of 2007.
