Alice Anne Buechler, 76, Minot, died on Saturday, July 11, 2015 in a Minot hospital.

Alice was born July 11, 1939 to Anton and Eva (Miller) Jundt, on the family farm in Pierce County near Berwick, ND. She attended a country school and graduated from The Christie Beauty School- Bismarck in 1960.

Alice married John Buechler on June 20, 1961 in Fulda. They had recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. They made their home in Minot where Alice was a stay-at-home mother until her children were of school age. Then, she spent many years as a cook at the Copper Pot Restaurant before retiring from Trinity Homes in 2005.

Alice was a member of St. Leo\'s Catholic Church in Minot. She loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, gardening and fishing. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen "whipping up" fabulous meals for all of her family until her health started to decline in 2010. She endured a very long and challenging five years of failing health, but would always have a smile when a visitor arrived. She resided at Trinity Nursing Home since November 2014.

Mom celebrated her 76th birthday with the best present anyone could receive; to be in the arms of her loving & merciful savior, Jesus Christ. What a party that must have been.. BINGO!

She will be dearly missed by many!

Alice's loving family includes her husband: John Buechler; children: Mike Buechler (Stacy)-Minot, Bruce Buechler (Shelly)-Minot, Tim-Sidney, NE, Laurie Stromme (Greg)-West Fargo, Lisa Spengler (Troy)- Minot, Tammy Tuttle-Minot; 21 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister: Rose Fettig Weisenburger, Minot; brother, James (Jane) Jundt, Minot and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Peter, Eugene And Raymond; brothers-in-law, John Fettig and Richard Weisenburger; sisters-in-law, Eva Jundt and Kathy Jundt and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Buechler.

Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Minot. Vigil Prayer Service: Friday, July 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot. Visitation: Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home Minot. Interment will be in Rosehill Memorial Park Minot.
