Alex David Sandoval , 48, Minot, formerly of Los Angeles, CA died Sunday, November 6, 2022, in his home.

Alex was born May 2, 1974, in Queens, NY to Jaime and Mariana (Palacios) Sandoval. During his youth he moved with his family to Los Angeles, CA where he attended school.

Alex enjoyed more than twenty years of companionship and love with Deserie Areola. They met in Los Angeles and were blessed with the birth of two sons, Alex Jr. and Richard.

In California, Alex worked different jobs including working for the Coca Cola Company as a forklift operator. While in Minot he worked for Continental Metal Products as a recycling associate until his health forced him to retire.

Alex was a lifelong and faithful fan of the New York Giants. He enjoyed watching the Game of Thrones and reading the book that inspired the tv series House of the Dragon if not occupied by a good garage sale or trip to the casino. Yet, everything took a backseat to time spent with his grandson, Richard Jr.

Alex is survived by his sons Alex Sandoval Jr and Richard Sandoval, both of Minot; grandson Richard Sandoval Jr., Minot; life partner Deserie Areola, Los Angeles, CA; parents, Jaime and Mariana Sandoval, Minot and Los Angeles, CA; sisters Maribel (Eric) Rosario, Bronx, NY and Stephanie Sandoval, Los Angeles, CA; niece Angelica (Steve) Infante and nephew Andrew Rosario, both of Bronx, NY; uncles, Carlos Ramiro (Gladys) Sandoval , Luis (Alicia Fabiola) Palacios: aunt Nelly Bernarda (Milton) Sandoval; cousins Juan Carlos Sandoval, Pamela Sandoval, Vanessa Sandoval, Father Edgar Ramiro Palacios, Paola Palacios, Andrea Palacios, Roberto Palacios, Luis Enrique Palacios, Carlos Palacios, Shirley Sandoval and many second cousins.

Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents Luz Maria Palacios and Cornelia and Carlos Sandoval, uncles Marcos Sandoval, Carlos Eduardo Palacios and Edgar Sandoval, aunts Fanny Sandoval and Virginia Sandoval.
