Adeline Bergeron, 94, Minot, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, in a Minot hospital.

Adeline Rostad was born in Foxholm, North Dakota on October 16, 1927 the daughter of Ole and Cora (Hanson) Rostad. She was raised and educated in the Foxholm area and often talked about the country schools she attended. She then attended and graduated from the Carpio High School.

Adeline worked as a chamber maid for several of the local widowed ladies in the area and cooked for the thrashing crews before moving to Minot in 1946. She worked a short time at an Auto Parts Store before taking a job as a file clerk at Trinity Hospital.

Adeline was united in marriage to James L. Bergeron on December 12, 1947 at the Lutheran Church in Carpio, North Dakota. They established their home in Minot where she started her lifelong career as a mother, raising her children, Dwight, Eddy and Jolene.

Mom never drove, but that did not slow her down. She would gather us kids up and walk to wherever we needed to be, and it didn't matter what the weather was, rain or shine we went. She looked forward to Sundays when we would load up in the car and head to Carpio for Sunday dinner at her mom and dad's home.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, (especially Barbie doll clothes) and keeping her home spotless. Mom and Dad belong to Bethany Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School.

Adeline is survived by her children, Dwight (Cheri) Bergeron of Helena, MT, Eddy (Christi) Bergeron of Williston, ND and Jolene (Don) Graf of Burlington, ND; grandchildren, Emily (Jonah), Nicholas, Jenna, Nicole (Lucas), Ashley (Eric), Tyrell and Beau (Ali); great-grandchildren, Adeline, Andrew, Chloe, Ava, Sylas, Abram, Augustus, Waylon, Millie and Ruby; brother-in-law, Ewald Mueller; sisters-in-law, Lolly, Carol Mae and Darlene Rostad and Charlene and Connie Bergeron; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ole and Cora Rostad; husband, James Bergeron, infant son, Timothy Bergeron, her brothers, Sanford (Jane Ellen), Irven (Carol), Lester, Glenn, and Clayton Rostad; sister, Alice Mueller; in-laws, Leona (Eugene) Parent, Art (Olga) Bergeron, Kenny, Don and Howard Bergeron.
