Dianna L. (Scott) Smith
Dianna L. (Scott) Smith, 65, Minot, died Friday, November 9, 2012 in a Minot hospital.
Dianna was born March 14, 1947, in Lemmon, SD, to Rev. Sheldon and Mildred (Skjoldal) Scott. At age four, her family moved to North Dakota, settling to the community of Burlington. Dianna graduated with the class of 1965 from Des Lacs High School. She attended NW Bible College in Minot.
Dianna was once married to Clarence Lundeen. This union was blessed with a son, Troy. In May 1983, Dianna was joined in marriage to Lyle Smith, who unexpectedly passed away on May 24, 1984.
Dianna has been employed with Quentin Burdick Job Corp Center in Minot, since the facility opened in 1994. She became a staple of the everyday operations in the office and was proud of the difference she was making in the lives of the youth assisting them to their goals for nearly 20 years.
She was a charter member of the Bible Restoration Fellowship Church, where she was active in church events, potlucks, and often participated in worship. Recently, she was attending First Assembly of God in Minot. Dianna enjoyed craft making and quilting with friends. She had a knack for decorating spaces in her home and was looking forward to decorating her guest room in Arizona.
Those touched by Dianna over the years have left as friends. She will be missed by her family, especially her grandchildren. It was such a blessing that Brock was able to come and stay with Dianna this summer. She was so happy that he was able to come and spend some quality time together. Her grand dogs, Rascal and Tinsel will also share in our loss of someone who played such a large role in their lives. May God Bless the memory of Dianna Smith.
Her loving family includes son, Troy (Kim) Lundeen, Beavercreek, OH; stepson, Clarence Lundeen III, Minot, ND; grandchildren, Brody Lundeen, Brock, Blake, Baylee and Beau Lundeen and Tayler and Logan Loesch; sisters, Sherryl Klaudt, Fargo, ND and Pamela (Terry) Thorpe, Minot; niece, Kimberly Birsenkott and nephew, Kenny Klaudt.
Dianna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lyle, granddaughter, Madison Lundeen and brother-in-law, Duane Klaudt.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at First Assembly of God, Minot.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Minot.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

| Message | Dear Pam, Sherryl, Troy, and all the loving family of Dianna, We are all so saddened to hear of Dianne's passing and for your sorrow at this time. Dianne was such a warm and loving cousin & niece to our family. She was so full of life, laughter, and adventure and was such a joy to be around. We will never forget how she and all the gals, including my wife Janice, had such a good time together helping prepare the food and decorating for Dale and Lillian's 50th wedding anniversary in 2005. What a special time filled with fun and memories those were. We will all miss her dearly, but we who also profess the same faith in Jesus Christ that Dianne did, also know that we will see her again with our Lord and it will be so awesome! Pam and Sherryl, you were such wonderful sisters to Dianne. May God Bless you both. We love you all very much. Love, The Brockel Family (Lillian, her sons - Brad, Lance, and Derrick and all our families) |

| Message | Even though we have not had contact in a long time, I will miss you. I cherish the good times we had together in our younger years while we roomed together in Minot. You were such a loving and fun filled friend and helped me to mature. I can still hear your laugh and see your smile. Rest in the arms of the Lord. |
