There are several organizations in the Minot area that have support groups for people who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Hope and Healing After A Death
Presented by Trinity Hospice, "Hope & Healing After A Death" is a series of six programs for people who have experienced the death of a friend or loved one. Sessions will explore the phenomenon of grief, examine the mourning process and identify self-care strategies to promote healing. Camp Discovery
Camp Discovery is a camp for children ages 6-14 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Campers enjoy many activities supervised by experienced professionals and Hospice staff. Equally important, they will be able to express and understand their own feelings so they can proceed through the grieving process while under the guidance of professionals. Compassionate Friends
Compassionate Friends is a support group for parents whose children of any age have died. This group meets the 2nd Monday of each month at Trinity Medical Center in the hospital Cafeteria Conference Room. There is no charge for this group. They also have a newsletter that is mailed monthly. Individual Grief Counseling
Trinity Hospice provides individual grief counseling by appointment only. Grief materials are also available to the community. Please call Trinity Hospice at 857-5083 or toll-free at 1-800-862-0005. The office is located in the Trinity Town & Country building located at 831 South Broadway in Minot.
Beginning Experience of Minot
