A celebration of life service: Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in First Church of the Nazarene, Minot.

Visitation: Thursday, January 26th from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.

JoAnn Rue Maj, 69, Longview, WA formerly of Minot, died Monday, January 16, 2017, in her home.

Robert A. Ball, 83, Turtle Lake died on Saturday at his son’s home in Des Lacs. Memorial service will be held at Turtle Lake Baptist Church, Turtle Lake, ND on Saturday January 21st at 10:30 a.m.

Retired Lt. Colonel Almon Burton Strong, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and Patriot passed away December 22, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A memorial celebration of the life of Almon B. Strong is tentatively scheduled for Cornerstone Presbyterian Church on July 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Al will be interred next to his wife, Marge, in the veteran’s section of Rosehill Cemetery in Minot, North Dakota. Should friends’ desire, memorial contributions should be made to Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758541, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8541.

A graveside service will be held in the summer of 2017 at Lakeside Cemetery, Kenmare. Memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Church, Minot.
